FEGGA Member Associations Come Together in Prague for the FEGGA Conference

The Czech Greenkeepers Association played the perfect hosts in hosting the recent FEGGA Conference. The Conference took place in the wonderful city of Prague and was attended by 19 Greenkeeper Associations and in total some 46 industry organisations.

This year’s Conference programme covered a variety of the core subjects relevant to industry issues facing us today. There was also a major focus on all aspects of formal education, both for new and established programmes.

Education Workshop:

• Introduction to education (EGEU)

• What is currently out there now and what are the current levels
• Presenting the final dissemination of the Green-e project
• Creating and developing a programme (EGEU)
• Czech Republic model
• Environmental education
• CPD and linking it to membership
• Group work – focus on these subjects
• Focusing on other education programmes

Presentations followed by a Panel Discussion – Subjects including:

• Recession management
• Managing in the Future
• Environmental Concerns for organisations –
• What are the challenges and how to deal with them

Environmental Industry Focus:

• Updates on programmes and current developments
